DEQO makes it easy to upload and manage large domain portfolios using the CSV Import feature. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you correctly upload your domains:
1. Go to the Import Section
From the left sidebar, navigate to Import.
You will see:
A CSV upload area
Append tags field
Status dropdown (required)
Before proceeding, review the information shown under Please Read Before Importing.
Important note before importing
Deqo will attempt to automatically map domain attributes from your CSV file to internal Deqo fields.
You can manually adjust mappings during the import process.
Custom fields can be added by mapping columns as tags.
Most fields are mapped one-to-one.
Some fields, such as costs, may be mapped many-to-one and summed (these are marked with a +).
Certain fields are auto-populated and do not need to be included in your CSV:
Registrar name
TLD
Created date
Expiration date
Whois privacy
Deqo retrieves these automatically from public WHOIS data.
2. Prepare Your CSV File
Your CSV file should:
Use .csv format
Contain one domain per row
Optionally include columns such as:
>Purchase date
>Price or cost
>Strategy
>Tags
Important:
If your domains were purchased on the secondary market, make sure your CSV includes a correct Purchase Date.
If no Purchase Date is provided, Deqo assumes you were the original registrant and uses the domain’s WHOIS Created Date, which may be inaccurate.
3. Append Tags (Optional)
In the Append tags field, you can assign a tag that applies to all domains in the upload (e.g., “client2024”).
4. Set Status
You must select a default Status (e.g., “Dropped,” “Own,” “Sold,” or “Watching”) for all domains in order to enable the Submit button.
5. Cost Calculation (Optional)
By default, Deqo automatically calculates registration and renewal costs based on:
Purchase date
Registrar data
Whois privacy fees (when applicable)
If you do not want these costs calculated during import, select the option:
“Do Not Calculate Registration and Renewal Costs.”
You can add or adjust costs later from:
Portfolio → Edit Domain → History → New Transaction
6. CSV Field Mapping
After uploading your file:
CSV column headers appear under Import from
Use the dropdown under Import to to map each column to a Deqo field
Select Skip column for any fields you don’t want to import
Review the sample preview to verify accuracy
When ready, click Submit to import your domains into your portfolio.
