Renew a Domain

How do I renew my domain?

After purchasing or registering a domain on Deqo, you are responsible for renewing the domain to keep it active and prevent expiration.

How renewals work on Deqo

  • Deqo manages renewals for domains registered with Deqo

  • Renewal pricing, timing, and availability are determined by the domain extension (TLD) and registry

  • You can renew domains manually or enable auto-renew to avoid missing renewal deadlines

You can view renewal status, expiration dates, and auto-renew settings in the Registrar section of your Deqo account.

How to renew your domain

Manual renewal

To manually renew a Deqo-registered domain:

  1. Log in to your Deqo account

  2. Go to Registrar

  3. Locate the domain you want to renew

  4. Click on the three-dot menu from the right side of the domain row > select Renew

  5. Select the renewal period > click Add to cart

  6. Checkout > Complete the renewal payment

Once renewed, the domain’s expiration date is extended.

Auto-renewal

To manage auto-renew for a Deqo-registered domain:

  1. Log in to your Deqo account

  2. Go to Registrar

  3. Locate the domain you want to manage > Click on the three-dot menu from the right side of the domain row > select Edit

  4. Go to Domain > Toggle Auto-renew on

Changes apply to future renewals.

Payment requirements

  • Auto-renew requires sufficient Account Balance or a valid payment method

  • If auto-renew fails due to payment issues, the domain will not renew automatically

  • You remain responsible for renewing the domain before expiration if auto-renew fails

We recommend periodically reviewing auto-renew settings and keeping your payment details up to date.

What happens after renewal

  • Renewed domains are typically reactivated immediately

  • In some cases, DNS, website, or email services may take additional time to fully restore due to caching

  • Updated expiration dates are visible in your Deqo account

What happens if you don’t renew

If a domain is not renewed before its expiration date:

  • It may enter a grace period, depending on the TLD

  • The domain may stop resolving (website and email may stop working)

  • Additional fees may apply if renewal is delayed

  • The domain could eventually become unavailable or deleted

To avoid losing a domain, always renew on time or enable auto-renew.

Important things to know

  • Renewal prices may differ from the original registration price

  • Different TLDs have different renewal and expiration rules

  • Auto-renew requires a valid payment method or sufficient Account Balance

  • Deqo cannot guarantee renewal if payment fails or registry restrictions apply
