You can transfer domains registered with Deqo to another registrar at any time, as long as the domain meets standard transfer eligibility requirements.
When you can transfer a domain
Before transferring a domain out of Deqo, make sure that:
The domain has been registered or transferred for at least 60 days
The domain is unlocked
Domain privacy (if enabled) does not prevent access to the authorization code
The domain is not involved in an active dispute, hold, or registry restriction
If any of these conditions are not met, the transfer may be blocked or delayed.
How to transfer a domain from Deqo
To initiate a transfer out:
Go to Registrar
Select the domain you want to transfer
Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the domain row.
Open Actions → Transfer → To another registrar
Retrieve the domain’s authorization (EPP) code
Submit the domain name and authorization code to your new registrar
The transfer is completed once the receiving registrar accepts the request and the process finishes.
What happens after you request a transfer
After a transfer-out request is started:
The domain remains active during the transfer process
You may receive confirmation emails that require approval
The transfer typically completes within 5–7 days, depending on the registrar and TLD
Once the transfer is complete, the domain will no longer appear in your Deqo registrar account.
Important things to know
Transferring a domain does not cancel or refund existing registration fees
In most cases, the domain’s registration period is extended by one year by the receiving registrar (depending on the TLD)
After transfer completion, the domain may be locked again for 60 days at the new registrar
DNS settings may need to be reconfigured after the transfer
Tracking transfer-out status
You can view outgoing transfers from:
Registrar → Transfers → Out
Status updates help you confirm when a transfer is pending or completed.
