You can manage DNS records in Deqo for domains registered with Deqo and using Deqo name servers. DNS changes are applied only when your domain is pointing to your assigned Deqo name servers.
Before you start
DNS management is available only for domains registered with Deqo
Your domain must be using Deqo name servers
Each Deqo account has a unique pair of name servers, assigned when the first domain is added. These cannot be changed later.
How to update DNS records
Go to Registrar > My domains
Select the domain you want to manage
Open the DNS tab
Click Add Record
Choose the record type and enter the required values
Click Save
Basic DNS records (most common)
These records cover typical website, email, and verification needs.
A record
Maps a hostname to an IPv4 address.
Used for connecting your domain to a website server.
AAAA record
Maps a hostname to an IPv6 address.
CNAME record
Aliases one hostname to another.
Commonly used for www.
Note: CNAME records cannot be used on the root domain.
MX record
Controls where email for your domain is delivered.
TXT record
Used for:
Domain ownership verification
SPF, DKIM, and other email authentication
Service-specific configuration
Advanced DNS records
These records are typically required only for specialized configurations or security features.
Deqo supports the following advanced record types:
CAA – Restrict which certificate authorities can issue SSL certificates
SRV – Define services and ports
DS / DNSKEY – DNSSEC configuration
TLSA – DANE / TLS security
SMIMEA – Email certificate validation
SSHFP – SSH key verification
HTTPS / SVCB – Modern service binding records
URI / NAPTR / LOC / CERT / PTR – Protocol-specific or advanced routing records
Only add advanced records if explicitly required by your hosting provider, email provider, or security setup.
DNS propagation
Most changes apply within minutes
Full global propagation may take up to 24–48 hours
Timing depends on DNS caching, not Deqo
Important notes
DNS records apply only while using Deqo name servers
Incorrect values may temporarily disrupt websites or email
Deqo does not validate third-party DNS configurations
